A few weeks ago having some boots repaired made me seriously happy. I took them to a local cobbler/ craftsman whose attention to detail made my heart sing. It certainly wasn’t a cheap experience but hand stitching soles on is something not many people have the patience or skills for.
It was also the week when I popped into a local supermarket and spotted their Christmas cookies at two for a pound. Sloppy, mass produced, additive stuffed. Not everyone cares when something is done badly. If the price is right it may well still fit the occasion. I’m not trying to compete with/sell to supermarkets. If you are looking for a luxury, well made product that is what I offer. These are event cookies for dear friends made with special attention, fresh to order.
So let’s raise a glass and cheers to quality and care.
